Before a couple of days I was working on program that allows users upload multiple files on a server. I realized it would be a nice to show progress of upload for every file individually. I tried to find way, how to solve this. After hours of “googling” I found some solutions, how to show progress bar in DataGridView object so I decided to create my own custom progress bar column. Articles I found, served as a guide for me and I have picked up same ideas, haw to customize DataGridView columns. I have implemented some functionality that I will describe later. How to Create ProgressBar Column in DataGridView - CodeProject

Trouble trying to implement IValueConverter : The Official Microsoft Silverlight Site
Populating a Silverlight DataGrid with Data from MDB
Unfortunately there were two problem with it:
i. The article is written in C# and I wanted to know how to do it in VB.Net and C#
ii. The article does not show every step.
The following articles helped fill in some of the missing pieces
Trobule trying to implement IValueConverter : The Official Microsoft Silverlight Site
When binding with Wpf is there a way to use System.String funcntions without using converters?
What I was missing was the fact that I needed to write a converter class and I needed to add xml code to my silverlight control. Once I did this it worked and worked well in browser (IE 8) and out-of-browser. I will be writing an article and attempt to flesh this out better and more fully.

Every effort it taken to use bothC++andC#. C++ code will be on top of native Windows API, and optionally using MFC. C# code will be on top of .NET framework, and if not available using DllImports of native Windows API. For all "how-to-retrieve" operation, there would be C++. For C++, wherever applicable, Unicode strings and functions are used.

WCF: The right way. A Quick Reference Guide. - CodeProject
Miguel Castro (MC from now on) gives a compelling argument why the included project templates for WCF Service Applications "creates too much baggage" and does not promote "best practices". He continues by suggesting adding service references is also "falling a bit short". To put it in context he notes that WCF "is probably one of the absolutely coolest technologies to come out of Microsoft".WCF: The right way. A Quick Reference Guide. - CodeProject

Twitter Made Easy - Post to your twitter account with two lines of code - CodeProject
Introduction to Article
As social media grows ever more popular, an increasing number of businesses want to integrate it in some way into their existing sites. There are open source libraries that make this task much easier, but getting the initial OAuth authentication setup and working can still be difficult. To fix this problem, I've created a very simple library build on top of the TweetSharp library (give credit where it's due - the TweetSharp code does all the heavy lifting). With a few web.config settings and two lines of code, you can have Twitter access up and running and get on to more important things.
