Revolver Maps - Free 3D Visitor Maps

Here is a cool visualization widget for your website/blog for measuring traffic to your site!

Revolver Maps are interactive visitor globes rendered by the Revolver Engine. Check the widget on the left: Use the buttons or drag to navigate.
The Revolver Graphics Engine is a strongly specialized 3D renderer. It's available as a Java version as well as a Flash version. The RevolverMaps Service bases on both implementations.
Now have a closer look: Every visitor leaves an eternal dot on the globe, recent visitors are tagged by the labels showing flag, city and state.

You're invited to set up a globe and add it to your site in just a few steps:

PicZoom: A Photo Viewer created in OpenGL. - CodeProject

Introduction to Article

This article explains implementation details of PicZoom application [A photo viewer with some functionalities are similar to the Picasa Photo Viewer]. PicZoom is an MFC Dialog based application, and OpenGL is used for drawing. Shader programs are not used for display, and therefore I hope PicZoom will run without a high-end graphics card.

Android 3D Carousel - CodeProject

Introduction to article

For a while I was looking for 3D carousel control for Android platform. The only one I found was UltimateFaves at [1]. But as it turned out it uses OpenGL. And it’s not open source. I thought if it is possible to avoid a use of OpenGL. Continuing my investigations I stamped on Coverflow Widget at [2]. And it uses standard Android 2D libraries. So the idea was the same – to use Gallery class for the carousel. The Coverflow Widget just rotates images and I wanted to rotate all group of them. Well, at least it implies the use of simple trig methods. More complicated stuff goes with the Gallery class. If you’d look through the article about Coverflow Widget at [3] you’d see a bunch of problems, such as unavailability of default scope variables in AbsSpinner and AdapterView classes. So I went the same way and rewrote some classes. And the Scroller class will be replaced by the Rotator class wich looks like Scroller but it rotates the group of images.

Creating an Animated ContentControl - CodeProject

Introduction to article

WPF has very powerful animation capabilities but in some cases, these are quite hard to use in combination with data driven content. One example is when a ContentControl is dynamically rendering a view based on a bound object in its ViewModel.
This article shows a solution where a standard ContentControl is enhanced to animate the transitions between content while still maintaining it's familiar functionality and behavior.
